Junior Academy News
· TBBHC have appointed Toby Blong as the new Junior Academy Director. Toby will be responsible for the running of the JA and as such is implementing changes for the forthcoming season.
Email : firstname.lastname@example.org Changes include:
o Smaller training groups within the age groups to ensure players have more coach contact time.
o Age group trial/assessments to allow the coaches to see as many players as possible to make the process of dividing them into their respective teams an easier task. The trials will not finalise the teams for the whole season and all players will have the opportunity to move up through the squads if their performances warrant it.
o The club will be running a Goalkeeper Academy, coached by Rich Major (2nd XI Ladies Coach and Mens 1st XI GK Coach), as an addition to Junior Academy training. The price for the programme (eight sessions across the season) is £125. Numbers will be limited so please get in touch with Rich (email@example.com ) to register interest.
· An increase in the JA subscription fees was agreed at the AGM which brings TBB in line with other local sports, it will also enable the club to provide more coaches and equipment to keep up with the ever-increasing numbers. Full membership descriptions can be found on the website:
o U18 Member £199
o U14-U18 Goalkeeper £147
o Junior Academy £199
· The club website is a useful resource for all information relating to the Junior Academy, membership options, how to pay, each team's fixtures; events; contacts etc. Parents and players are encouraged to use this as the first stop for information.
· Please ensure your re-register or de-register your child as appropriate when the email comes through in August. Failure to re-register will result in your child not being invited to the assessments. Please also ensure your child’s contact/medical details are up to date and a recent photo would be appreciated.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in September.
This takes place on Saturday 8th September 13:00-15:30 Pitch 1. All members are welcome from 13 plus age groups. See website for more details.

From England Hockey
The FIH Pro League is the ground-breaking, new, global hockey competition beginning in January 2019.
Two leagues, one men's and one women's, each comprising nine of the greatest hockey nations, will battle it out for glory. 144 matches will be staged around the world each season culminating in a Grand Final in June in the Netherlands. It's going to be action-packed, international rivalries will be at their fiercest and the hockey will be of the highest calibre..
Great Britain's women and men will be competing in both leagues. Our home campaign begins on Saturday 27 April 2019 and runs through to Sunday 23 June 2019.
The home schedule in season one is made up of 8 single internationals and 4 'double-headers' where both the Great Britain women's and men's team will play back to back.
Whether you buy for a double-header or single international, you will be guaranteed great entertainment. There'll be a winner in each match, with penalty shoot-outs guaranteed if the scores are level at full time. What's more, there'll be plenty of entertainment for all the family including opportunities for children to play on the hallowed pitch, a chance to meet your British hockey heroes, music, food and drink.
We are offering season tickets for the first time and, owing to the demand for hockey tickets at recent events, we are running a ballot to ensure everyone has equal opportunity to access tickets. If you are successful in the ballot, there will be no obligation to purchase any of the tickets which you are allocated.
So, if you want to Go Pro in 2019, either beat the ballot with a Season Ticket or enter the ballot today at https://hockey.seetickets.com/fplticketballot (ballot close 9thSeptember).
Both courses are during the week rather than a Sunday.
